Volley!

I am Petra Ticar, the founder of Ticar Design.

Always with my own mind and my own ideas about everything, I am always and everywhere interested in new things and never leave the creative trail.

I haven't necessarily taken the classic, straight path so far, but in the end - viewed critically - it was exactly the right thing to do.

As of today, I am
State-certified beautician, state-recognized paralegal and certified interior designer.

Oh, according to Myer-Briggs, I'm one of the few INFJ personalities and, as a Pisces-born person, I'm predestined for anything artistic and without empathy, I simply never leave the house. I love everything that smells good, I find glitter magically attractive and I am a completely tactile person.
By the way, my wonderful husband aka partner in crime, my magical dog Maya and the little mouse Bobby make up my best side. We are Team Supreme.

So overall a colorful mix that makes sense? Absolutely!

Education & Arts

My belief remains that education and learning new skills should not be a question of money or other circumstances and that an artist's talents cannot always be seen on a "piece of paper" or can only be considered the measure of things.
I am grateful for everything I have been able to learn so far and I don't take any of it for granted. For this reason, I like to share my knowledge and am happy when even the youngest artists take part with interest and have the chance to develop! Crafts and art run through my life.

But let's rewind briefly:
Even as a child, I redesigned, divided areas and tried everything I could with only a few resources. My career began with an incredible 12 m² of pure design freedom. From this "situation" and the constant urge to want to create something handcrafted, the realization came that processing, reusing, further processing and creating new furniture was not only the most sustainable solution, but also the most individually creative. Thanks to my father, I learned not to shy away from crafts and prefer them to other options. As a child, I was able to help a lot and try my hand at various materials. With each new project I became more confident and interested.

Trailblazer

Later, my training as a beautician helped me to run my own successful soap shop and online shop with my own cosmetics line with my sister for years and to become sustainably independent when it came to (natural) cosmetics. Maintaining the health of the body and soul is our daily priority and is what I focused on during my training. Aesthetics and cosmetics went hand in hand and as a legal assistant I was later able to develop good ideas for an aesthetic work area with full functionality.

Ultimately, training to become an interior designer was obvious and was only a matter of time.

At the same time, I have been a lecturer at the Reutlingen Adult Education Center for over ten years. - Of course in the creative field. My courses on making soaps, natural cosmetics, claying with children, and planning and organizing creative children's birthdays were and are my areas of expertise at the youth art school.

Interior designer

I put my heart and soul into rearranging, redesigning, structuring, optimizing and bringing color into play.

If you're just as bored with predictable styles and would rather see yourself in an old apartment in Paris, in a country house in England or at a winery in Tuscany, you've come to the right place.
Paralegal

A fantastic basis for life that is even fun! After a good decade, I have been able to take a lot of (legal) knowledge with me and have thereby acquired the work-technical and spatial structure that is required for good work.

Nevertheless, my table sometimes looks chaotic, of course in the stylishly ordered chaos.

Love at first sight! Mom's lipstick, her perfume and her nail polish magically attracted me from childhood and influenced me.

Cosmetics, whether caring, decorative or self-made, everything interests me and makes me constantly analyze, try out and - oh yes - buy new things.
