An exciting new assignment has come up for me: to furnish a holiday home abroad, in Slovenia, - all based only on photos, measurements, video tours and meetings.
The crux of the matter is that you can't just "quickly" measure something again or test different colors on site. What you need here are concrete examples, colors, patterns, the right gut feeling and clear communication, because the craftsmen on site can only get started with the decisive color, whether it's painting, laying parquet or designing the balcony.
It's exciting, my first holiday home and completely far away, but I can't complain, it's been going smoothly so far!
What have we done so far? Discussed the individual rooms, planned the kitchen, selected floors, painted colored accent walls, new electrics have already been installed, a passage door has been bricked up, new windows have been put in, new balcony doors have been installed, new heating system has been installed, door frames have been painted, parquet has been laid, kitchen has been assembled, first furniture has been ordered, the facade of the balcony side has been painted, including the wooden ceiling, outdoor lighting has been chosen,...
There is still a lot to do, but it is taking shape!
